Dot Grid OS, LLC · Last updated August 2026

I run this business by myself. I do not sell data, I do not run ads, and I do not share anything you give me with anyone who is not directly involved in delivering what you asked for.

Here is exactly what happens with your information.

What I collect

When you use a free tool. The numbers or details you type in — calls per week, average job value, your business name, your domain, your URL. For the calculators, the arithmetic happens in your browser and the numbers are never sent to me unless you ask for the full report.

When you ask for a report or use the contact form. Your email address, and whatever else you choose to tell me — your name, business name, phone number, and your message. Contact messages are saved in a database (named below) so I can read and answer them; report requests are used to build and send your report.

A hashed version of your IP address. When you submit the contact form, I keep a one-way hashed form of your IP address to detect and block abuse. It can't be reversed into your real address or used to identify you — it only lets me tell repeat submissions apart.

If you tick the newsletter box. I save that you opted in, so I can email you occasionally. Ticking that box is the only way onto that list — running a tool never adds you — and you can unsubscribe anytime.

Basic site analytics. Which pages were visited and roughly where in the world the visit came from. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no advertising pixels.

That's the whole list. No account is required to use anything on this site.

What I do with it

I use your email address to send you the report you asked for and to reply to you. That's it.

I do not add you to a mailing list because you ran a tool — only if you tick the newsletter box yourself.

I do not sell, rent, or trade your information. There is no scenario in which that changes.

Who else touches it

A small number of services make this site work. Each of them sees only what they need to:

I don't use any of these to build a profile of you, and none of them are permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

How long I keep it

Contact messages and report requests are kept in the database and my email so I can answer them and remember our conversation later. Tool inputs are not stored beyond producing your result, except where I cache a check result for a short period so repeat checks don't cost anything to re-run. The hashed IP and rate-limit counters expire automatically after a short window.

If you want anything I hold about you deleted, email me and I'll delete it. No form, no process.

Your choices

You can ask me what I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email michael@dotgridos.com and I'll handle it myself, usually the same day.

If you're in a place with specific privacy rights — California, the EU, elsewhere — those rights apply here and I'll honour them. Practically, they amount to the same thing: ask, and I'll do it.

Children

This site is for business owners. It isn't directed at children and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Security

Everything moves over an encrypted connection. I keep the number of places your information lives as small as possible, which is the most effective security measure available to a business this size.

I can't promise perfect security — nobody honestly can. If something goes wrong that affects you, I'll tell you directly rather than posting a notice and hoping you see it.

Changes

If I change this policy I'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant and I have your email, I'll tell you.
